Erin Rutherford (she/her) was elected to Edmonton City Council representing Ward Anirniq in October 2021 and was appointed to WAVE as a Councillor Advisor in April 2023. Erin is passionate about addressing gender-based issues and strives to strengthen Edmonton as a City for all through creating equitable conditions with innovation, collaboration, and compassion. She has many years of public service experience including social planning and public engagement, and she holds two degrees; an Undergraduate Degree in Anthropology and Human Geography, and a Masters of Arts in Community Development. Erin has lived in Edmonton for over 20 years and resides in Ward Anirniq with her two children and their cat named Olive.
